Headed to the Florida Keys and Dry Tortugas National Park!

Welcome to the Florida Keys, a tropical paradise of 1,700 islands connected by the scenic 125-mile Overseas Highway and 42 bridges. Surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean, these narrow islands offer breathtaking water views, unique attractions, and unforgettable adventures from Key Largo to Key West. The narrow chain of islands ranges from less than half a mile to just a few miles wide.

Dry Tortugas National Park is located about 70 miles west of Key West, a spectacular tropical paradise accessible only by ferry, seaplane, or private boat. On this day, I chose the seaplane. The ferry is a 4-hour round trip, and the seaplane is 1 hour. Best decision, but reservations are needed well in advance.
